Our guidelines are based on evidence, consensus and available national guidelines, collated into practical, accessible guides on AKI management for the non-specialist.

We are currently in consultation on harmonisation of the guideline and pathway across London. Currently this guideline is active for all hospitals in North Central and South East London Networks (i.e. hospitals referring to Royal Free, King's and Guy's Renal Units). It is also active for all South West London Network hospitals who refer to St George's Renal Unit.

We hope to complete pan London consultation and harmonisation within 12 months. This feedback, and the publication of NICE guideline on Acute Kidney Injury will inform a full update in 2013. Thereafter we will guarantee an annually updated guideline and pathway incorporating emergent evidence and the feedback of members.
